Lot’s has changed in the last 3 years. I didn’t post on my blog for 3 years but i guess this will change now. Expecting Facebook and others to become irrelevant to everyones deeper mind that lies behind the daily gossip, latest video viral and hyped small village news I do believe that curated content is in the coming. No wonder that many of my ventures strive towards that direction. May it be curated shopping (L’ArcoBaleno, Fancy), curated relationships (Enrich-In), targeted advertising (VideoImpact, NetBooster) or simply curated daily goods like Music, Videos or Food. The future seems to lie were the mass of information gets filtered and connected to what your character and soul is looking for. At the same time that kind of information comes closer and closer to you, not only while it takes your attention but also because the devices we use are physically closer than never before. Wearable tech will only succeed if we can trust the devices and that only works if we are not spamed in any way. So curation again is key to success here, no matter if we are talking Google Glasses or any other device people come up with.
I personally hope curation is were the web is going because otherwise i will eventually face the moment were i unplug myself from the internet of things. Digital advertising is showing us that you don’t need to watch a TV ad anymore that just doesn’t fit your interest and i’m sure curation of content, information as well as advertising is the internet of tomorrow. Me personally I don’t even have a TV connection anymore. Everything can be streamed on demand and paid on demand as well. Free of TV commercials but guess what - i do browse the web at the same time
